Newfoundland offers a perfect blend of
the old and the new. Our history and traditions can be traced
back to the mid 16th century when the first settlers began arriving
here in the new found land. Those old world traditions
continue to this day, wrapped gently in the best of modern society,
while existing in a beautiful and pristine environment free from
the stress of today's hectic lifestyle.

There is much to see and do all year
round. We at the Rothesay House Inn can help
you unwind and relax in our own, personal, carefree
environment. We'll help you enjoy the many events and
activities that abound. From our excellent location at Harbour
Grace, Newfoundland, you can go bird-watching. About an hour and
a half's drive away, you'll discover one of North America's largest and
most accessible wild seabird colonies. The waters off our coast
supply you with some of the world's best whale watching. In the
spring, those magnificent mountains of the sea - icebergs, float by our
harbour, making us one of the premier iceberg watching locations.
If you're a Hunting or Fishing
enthusiast, then look no further. Newfoundland & Labrador
abounds in big game. Over 120,000 Moose and the world's largest
Caribou population inhabit our Province's borders. Black bears
of almost 700 pounds roam our lands too. Atlantic salmon,
sea-trout of astounding size and brook trout exist in great
abundance.

If sightseeing around our incredible
coast line and interior is more to your liking, you'll be amazed at the
diversity of scenery that is here for your pleasure. You can go
sightseeing, boating, travel on an old schooner, go diving,
sea-kayaking, hiking, bicycling or attend any number of other
activities, festivals and events. Expose yourself to Newfoundland
-- you won't be disappointed! To learn more about us, please
