Smart Pension linked fund transfer form

Pension Wise (part of MoneyHelper) offers free, impartial guidance about your options in relation to your AVCs. It can be accessed online, by phone or face to face.  

There is a legal requirement for you to confirm either that you have had an appointment with and received guidance from Pension Wise in respect of your AVCs as part of any application to take your Rothesay benefits - or confirm you have actively opted-out of doing so. This law applies to defined contributions (or ‘DC’) benefits, which includes AVCs. Please be aware, we are prevented from processing pension applications without this confirmation.

Alternatively, you can ask Smart Pension to make the appointment for you. If you would like Smart Pension to do this, you can call them on 0333 666 2626.  

If you would like to opt out of attending a guidance session with Pension Wise, you will need to provide a separate declaration confirming this decision to Smart Pension.

If you choose to opt out of attending a guidance session and want to use your linked fund held with Smart Pension towards your lump sum payable by Rothesay, we will not be able to pay any benefits until Smart Pension have received your opt out confirmation.
