We know that it can take time to get a Power of Attorney set up and registered, but we want to make your interactions with Rothesay as easy as possible. If you don’t yet have Power of Attorney in place, but would like a family member or friend to help support you when you talk to us, you can complete our Family and Friends Letter of Authority.

To download the Family and Friends Letter of Authority please click the link below.

Letter of Authority

Some important points to note:

  • Your family member/friend can request information about your policy and copies of documentation
  • They cannot make decisions on your behalf or change your details (such as your address or bank details)
  • The Letter of Authority can be in place for a maximum of 2 years
  • It can only be used for your Rothesay policy, so we always recommend setting up a Power of Attorney. This can be used with other organisations, and does enable someone else to make decisions on your behalf
