Addy Loudiadis

Chief Executive Officer

Antigone (Addy) Loudiadis is Rothesay's founder and Chief Executive Officer. Addy established Rothesay in 2007 as a business purpose-built to protect pensions.

Addy was previously a partner of Goldman Sachs and served as the co-head of the Investment Banking Division in Europe. Before moving to Investment Banking, she was head of European Fixed Income Sales at Goldman Sachs. Addy sits on the Board of the Association of British Insurers.

Tom Pearce

Managing Director

Tom Pearce is Rothesay's Managing Director and co-founder. Prior to establishing the business in 2007, Tom was a Managing Director in the European Financing Group at Goldman Sachs responsible for UK Life insurance. Tom joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 in European Fixed Income.

Andrew Stoker

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew Stoker is Rothesay's Chief Financial Officer. He joined Rothesay in 2014 and is responsible for the finance and actuarial functions. Andrew was previously a partner in EY’s risk and actuarial practice and prior to that was Chief Actuary at Lucida plc. Andrew has also held roles at PwC, Tillinghast and Legal & General.

Andrew is an Associate Trustee of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Yann Samuelides

Head of Asset and Liability Management

Yann Samuelides is Head of Asset and Liability Management. Yann joined Rothesay in 2016 and is responsible for Capital Management, Trading and Quantitative Strategists. Prior to joining Rothesay, Yann was a Partner in the Fixed Income division at Goldman Sachs.

Prateek Sharma

Chief Investment Officer

Prateek Sharma is Chief Investment Officer and Head of Rothesay Asset Management. Prateek joined Rothesay in 2013 and is responsible for the company’s investment portfolio. Prior to joining Rothesay, Prateek worked in principal finance and structured finance trading at Morgan Stanley and UBS. 

Baptiste Grassion

Head of Quantitative Strategists

Baptiste Grassion is Head of Quantitative Strategists. Baptiste joined Rothesay in 2007 and is responsible for Quantitative Strategists, Liquidity and Capital Management. Prior to joining Rothesay, Baptiste was a senior quantitative strategist at Goldman Sachs.

Graham Butcher

Head of Strategy

Graham Butcher is Head of Strategy. Graham joined Rothesay in 2007 and is responsible for strategic initiatives, business planning and the pricing, underwriting and risk management of new business. Prior to joining Rothesay, Graham was at Willis Towers Watson and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2006.

Jonathan Sarkar

Chief Operating Officer

Jonathan Sarkar is Chief Operating Officer. Jonathan joined Rothesay in 2009 and is responsible for all asset and liability operations. Prior to joining Rothesay, Jonathan was at HSBC Actuaries & Consultants (HACL), where he was head of Corporate Pensions Consulting and a member of the HACL Board. Prior to joining HSBC in 2004, Jonathan had spent 15 years at Mercer as a European Partner. At Mercer, Jonathan was a Scheme Actuary working on the funding, investment and accounting aspects of corporate pensions with a primary focus on advice to UK sponsors of defined benefit schemes.

Peter Shepherd

Chief Risk Officer

Peter Shepherd is Rothesay's Chief Risk officer. He joined Rothesay in 2016 and is responsible for the risk, credit and compliance functions.  Prior to joining Rothesay, Peter held a number of senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group including leading the structured credit investments portfolio and establishing and leading the business responsible for the management and disposition of specialist non-core assets within the Group. He was also a director, and member of the investment and funding committee, of the Group's defined benefit pensions schemes.

Stephen Pain

Chief Technology Officer

Stephen Pain is Rothesay's Chief Technology Officer. He joined Rothesay in 2018 and is responsible for quantitative development, technology and systems. Prior to joining Rothesay, Stephen worked at Citadel for 12 years where he was Global Head of Quantitative Development for the Global Fixed Income business.

James Dickson

General Counsel

James Dickson is Rothesay's General Counsel. He joined Rothesay in 2009 and is responsible for the legal function and execution team. At Rothesay, James has played a lead role in transactions with the pension funds of National Grid, telent, Asda and Allied Domecq among others as well as the reinsurance of the Prudential, Zurich Assurance and Aegon annuity portfolios. Prior to joining Rothesay, James was at Linklaters for 15 years (11 years as a Partner) specialising in structured finance.

Fahim Rashid

Head of Corporate Finance and Development

Fahim Rashid is Head of Corporate Finance and Development. Fahim joined Rothesay in 2009 and is responsible for M&A, capital raising, shareholder matters and strategic projects. At Rothesay, Fahim has played a lead role in all capital markets activity. Prior to joining Rothesay, Fahim was an Executive Director within the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs focusing on the insurance sector. 

Sammy Cooper-Smith

Head of Business Development

Sammy Cooper-Smith is Head of Business Development. Sammy joined Rothesay in 2011 and is responsible for new business origination and marketing to defined benefit pension schemes and insurance companies. At Rothesay, Sammy has played a lead role in transactions with the pension funds of National Grid, telent, Asda and Allied Domecq among others as well as the reinsurance of the Prudential, Zurich Assurance and Aegon annuity portfolios. Prior to joining Rothesay, Sammy was at Paternoster which Rothesay acquired in 2011. He started his career at Prudential. 

Pamela Bentley

Co-head of Pricing and Reinsurance

Pamela Bentley is Co-Head of Pricing and Reinsurance. Pamela joined Rothesay in 2009 and is responsible for underwriting of new liability transactions. Pamela has been directly involved in most of Rothesay’s liability transactions to date. Prior to joining Rothesay, Pamela was at Willis Towers Watson in London and San Francisco. Pamela is a pensions actuary and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

David Cox

Co-head of Pricing and Reinsurance

David Cox is Co-Head of Pricing and Reinsurance. He joined Rothesay in 2008 and is responsible for underwriting of new liability transactions with particular focus on reinsurance. David has been directly involved in most of Rothesay’s liability transactions to date. Prior to joining Rothesay, David was at Willis Towers Watson and Mercer. David is a pensions actuary and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Jason Wright

Chief Implementation Officer

Jason Wright is Rothesay's Chief Implementation Officer. He joined Rothesay in 2018 and is responsible for the implementation of the firm’s strategic projects and overall project portfolio. Prior to joining Rothesay, Jason was Group Change Director of Just Group, COO of Paternoster and managed new product development at Prudential.

Nicola Burgess

Chief Auditor

Nicola Burgess is Rothesay's Chief Auditor. She joined Rothesay in 2018 and is responsible for providing independent assurance through setting the strategy and delivery of internal audit activities. Prior to joining Rothesay, Nicola has held senior positions, as Chief Auditor at Vitality Group, Worldpay, Credit Suisse (Insurance) and SwissRe.

Robert Allard

Head and CIO of Rothesay Asset Management North America

Rob Allard is Head and CIO of Rothesay Asset Management North America. Rob joined Rothesay in 2018 to establish, build and run the investment portfolio in North America. Prior to joining Rothesay, Rob held leadership roles in structured finance at Firebreak Capital, Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank.

David Land

Head of Investment Strategy

David Land is Rothesay's Head of Investment Strategy. Previously, David was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and worked as a trader in Interest Rate Products and Credit Derivatives since 1993. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, David was a programmer at the IBM UK Scientific Centre.

Anthony Marlowe

Head of Communications & Public Affairs

Anthony Marlowe is Head of Communications & Public Affairs. He is responsible for Rothesay’s internal and external communications, promoting and safeguarding its brand and for its engagement with stakeholders across Westminster and Whitehall. Anthony previously led the UK Corporate Affairs practice at Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading communications agencies.
